Honda City e:HEV Hybrid launched in India, know full details including mileage and features

Features like electric sunroof, ambient lighting, and LED interior room lamps have been given in Honda City e:HEV Hybrid. This car can be unlocked with the help of a smartphone and smartwatch.

Honda Car India has introduced the Honda City Hybrid e: HEV mid-size sedan in India. This car was waiting for a long time. Honda City is one of the longest-selling cars in India, first launched in 1998. The new City model is offered in two trims – V and ZX. The official booking of the car has started from today i.e. April 14. Its sale in India will start in May 2022.

Honda City e:HEV Hybrid is based on three principles – hi-tech performance, advanced safety, premium design, and equipment. Honda City Hybrid has been given ‘Honda Sensing’-Advanced Safety Technology. Along with this, a self-charging electric hybrid system has been given in the car. Honda City e:HEV Hybrid Engine & Mileage

Honda City e:HEV comes with two motors. The 1.5-liter petrol engine in the car is mated to a generator and traction motor. Both these motors are attached to the lithium battery. Its petrol motor generates 98bhp power and 127Nm peak torque. At the same time, the electric motor gives 109bhp power with 253Nm peak torque. The City Hybrid is powered by a 0.734kWh lithium-ion battery that weighs 14.5kgs. Honda City Hybrid car will give a mileage of up to 26.5 km.

The company claims that with a 40-liter fuel tank, this car can give a range of 1,000 km.

Features of Honda City e:HEV Hybrid

The Honda City Hybrid gets three drive modes – Engine Drive (petrol-only mode), EV Drive (pure electric mode), and Hybrid Drive (a combination of both).

Features like an electric sunroof, ambient lighting, and LED interior room lamps have been provided in the car. It gets an 8-inch touchscreen display with advanced smartphone connectivity and a 7-inch Full HD TFT meter. The automaker has also given Honda Connect feature in it. Apart from this, the car can be unlocked with the help of a smartphone and smartwatch.

The ZX variant of the Honda City e:HEV has been introduced with Honda Sensing Technology. It gets features like 6 airbags, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist System), cruise control, lane-keeping assist, braking system, and blind-spot detection system.

Honda City e:HEV Hybrid price

Honda City Hybrid price in India could be between Rs 22 Lakh to Rs 25 Lakh (ex-showroom). In the mid-size sedan segment, this car will compete with Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Vertus.
