Andy Murray won his biggest win of more than five years on Friday when he beat
Stefanos Tsitsipas 7-6 (4), 6-3 to reach the semi-finals of the Stuttgart Open.
Andy Murray, 35, saved a crucial point in the first set against fifth-placed Tsitsipas
and was able to secure his first win of the top five since defeating Novak Djokovic
at the World Tour Finals in London in November. 2016.
It was also the last year he reached the grassroots finals
as he became Wimbledon champion for the second time.
The former No. 1 in the world missed most of the clay court time to focus on grass preparation.
Murray also reached the semi-finals of the Surbiton Trophy last year, despite losing to Denis Kudla.
Tsitsipas wanted a rematch after defeating Murray at their first meeting in the U.S. Open last year.
