Angel Yin has emerged as the 18th green spot in the U.S. Women’s Open in Pine Needles wearing a USGA PIN on her shirt where the logo was sewn.

The PIN was a gift from the tournament official, but it underscores the fact that the 23-year-old former Solheim Cup player has no sponsors.

There is nothing in his hat, his shirt or his bag. Earlier this year, Angel Yin replaced defending champion Lydia Ko,

who was tested for COVID-19, at Aramco Saudi Ladies International. Yin was tied for 10th place at the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club

and said he would not miss another opportunity to work on his game and make money.

He compared the level of Saudi competition with the high-profile LPGA event such as the Cognizant Founders Cup.

Angel Yin, admittedly not watching the many stories to read about the recent human rights situation in Saudi Arabia,

was impressed by the number of young girls a day going to clinics, and what she had heard from Americans.
