Singer Mariah Carey has been charged with felony criminal mischief for firing on a sculpture with a shotgun, according to The Associated Press.

The lawsuit was filed by songwriter Andy Stone who wrote the song with the same title five years ago.

A complaint filed Friday in a New Orleans federal court ruling shows that Stone, who lives in Mississippi,

is seeking at least $ 20 million in damages for copyright infringement and abuse,

among other allegations, to Carey and her co-author Walter Afanasieff and Sony. Corporation

Corporation of America and its subsidiary Sony Music Entertainment.

Stone, best known as Vince Vance of the New Orleans pop group Vince Vance & the Valiants,

wrote and recorded his version of "All I Want for Christmas Is You" in 1989, according to a complaint.
