A busy week when OL Reign announced the acquisition of two major players, it was terminated in Saturday night's game against Angel City FC.

On so-called #SODOvsSOCAL, OL Reign did their part with a 1-0 win over Angel City FC, with a goal from Bethany Balcer in the 31st minute.

Thanks to Balcer's second goal of the regular NWSL season, OL Reign is up 13 points ahead of the June international break.

While OL Reign started the game on the front foot and took control, it deteriorated into the NWSL After Darkness as more cards were issued,

including the first release of Megan Rapinoe in her NWSL career. Last week in San Diego, OL Reign had a memorable 20 minutes,

conceding a goal and facing endless pressure. They finally managed to settle in the game and respond,

so starting from the start of the game tonight with aggression and setting the tempo was great at the club. Balcer's goal was the cap of the first half,

but they could have easily scored the second goal had it not been for Veronica Latsko.
